I posted three new necklaces yesterday in my Artfire Studio.  I love working with 

so many different textures and materials.  All the details about these pieces

Ocean Spirit made for Friends

Hand forged clasp and jump rings made out of sterling silver. Cord is Bamboo cooper and silk.

Small shell with glass beads, swarovski crystals and seed beads strung through it.

Shell wire wrapped with fine silver, pearls, swarovski crystal and vintage nail head bead.

Cord made out of bamboo cooper and cotton, with a hand forged sterling silver clasp and jump rings.

 

Working with Shells

Sea Shell wrapped in patinated copper, strung on cord made of ramie, wool,polyester and nylon.
I especially love how it sort of looks like wood, but is not.

Ocean Spirit

Today I am unveiling the beginnings of my new summer collection, Ocean Spirit.  I wanted to create something that reminds you of a lazy sunny summer day at the beach.  The waves making slow, rhythmic swishes as they crash on the shore. The smell of salt water on the gentle breeze as sea gulls fly overhead. Warm wet sand between your toes.
